Can God Change a Narcissist? A Faith-Based Perspective

Yes, I do believe God Almighty can change a narcissist and do the impossible. I believe if the person wants to be delivered from (his or her) destructive ways and pray to God for true repentance, and deliverance that God will honor their prayer, heal, and deliver them. I believe that God is willing and able to do exceedingly abundantly above all. God has given all of us of free will. When it comes to narcissism this is not something that we can control or change, not even an experience mental health professional or a psychiatrist can change the dynamics of someone with NPD narcissistic personality disorder. The narcissist would need or want to change, and trust that God can change them if they feel that they cannot do it on their own. This would be no different than someone who has a substance abuse (drugs and alcohol) dependence or sex, gambling, pornography, addiction problem wanting to change. They believe in a higher power, they follow the 12 steps, they begin the process of recovery. Some, not all have been delivered and set completely free from the clutches of addiction.

The narcissistic individual will need to desire the change, know God for who he is, and what he is capable of doing. They will need to first believe that he is God, and that he is capable of changing them or delivering them from the clutches of their mental personality disorder…
