One day, I was sitting in a park, watching kids play and people walk their dogs. Life seemed peaceful. But then, I started to wonder: What makes something right or wrong? Is it always clear what the “right” thing to do is? Or do we just decide based on how we feel?

This question has puzzled people for centuries. Philosophers, those deep thinkers who try to figure out life’s big questions, have spent their lives trying to understand this. Their thoughts on what’s right and wrong fall under something called moral philosophy.

Let’s take a simple journey through this fascinating topic. I’ll keep it easy and share some interesting ideas about how people think about what’s right. Maybe, by the end, you’ll have your own thoughts about how to decide what’s right or wrong.

What Is Morality?

Before diving into philosophy, let’s talk about morality. Morality is a set of rules or beliefs about what’s good or bad, right or wrong. For example, most of us think helping someone in need is “good,” while stealing is “bad.” But why? Is it because someone taught us? Or is there a deeper reason?
