Kicking You When You’re Down: The Narcissist’s Tactic

Yes, yes, and yes, striking or attacking you at your lowest point is normal for a narcissist, because they’re experts at pulling the rug from underneath your feet. So, during your lowest point doesn’t exempt you from their abusive behavior. Think of it this way > a bully won’t stop bullying their target due to their target’s circumstances, they still see you as someone they can victimize.

Figuratively speaking………

It is the perfect time for them to throw salt on an open wound.
It is the perfect time to throw water on someone who is drowning.
It is the perfect time to kick you when you’re down, and out.
It is the perfect time to rain on your rainy day.
It is the perfect time to add insult to injury whenever you’re dealing with someone who has NPD narcissistic personality disorder.
Narcissists suffer from alienation, emptiness, powerlessness, abandonment issues, and lack of self-worth. So, when you’re at your lowest, it is actually makes them feel good about themselves. They actually gain joy, arousal, and excitement with you being at your lowest. I wouldn’t doubt that some of your feelings or emotions of your low point is a direct result of their negative behavior and actions towards you.
