The Long-Term Consequences of Narcissistic Abuse

They eventually are faced with people getting tired of their abusive ways, and see them for who they really are. Narcissists often cause a lot of pain and suffering for others. They may lie, cheat, abuse, and intentionally mislead others to get what they want. They may also take advantage of others so when consequences catch up to them it may be seen as a form of justice for the victims. Having been taken advantage of, and inhumanely objectified victims feel exploited, demeaned, insulted, humiliated. So, it is understandable why anyone would want to know if the narcissist’s egregious behavior will ever be met with consequences. Yes, many victims are educating themselves on narcissistic abuse awareness, and recovery causing exposure of their abusive behavior.

Mental Collapse: Narcissists appear to be hyper focused on their egos while failing to consider how their actions affect others, however when their ego is bruised it can cause a mental breakdown for them. They need continual external validation so when something or someone interferes with their ability to get their usual narcissistic supplies, and they are faced with the possibility of a humiliating failure. Some narcissists completely collapse by stop functioning and giving up especially when they’re met with a mental breakdown.
