Narcissism is not caused by defence mechanisms.

Narcissism is not caused by excessive coddling and pampering.

Only one thing causes narcissism, which is anti-truth.

This is a very bold statement, so let’s attempt to prove it.

I will use the popular mental experiment technique to prove it.

Can a narcissist be 100% truthful for one day and still remain a narcissist?

Narcissists come from all walks of life, rich, poor, neglectful parents, pampering parents, physically abused, mentally and emotionally abused, never abused, highly privileged and entitled, underprivileged and resentful against society, etc.

What’s the common thread among all those things?

There is no common thread among them.

That suggests that narcissism is unrelated to environmental causes.
