The River’s Wisdom
Lessons for Life’s Journey
Flow steady, the river said,
Straight Paths Aren’t Always The Answer
Dance and bend, be water-like.
that every bend a lesson lends.
Hurry not too quick to swim in the sea;
taste the stones, roots and trees.
Thus part of the language,Beauty in life…….Does not reside in its termination.
river to every moment spent.
Some days you will bloat, aubergine and overripe
shrivel in drought dry tide of your kind.
Still, there is an art to every season —
each ebb and flow nourishes your heart
When obstacles rise up and MAKE YOU sway,
not of the walls, but in refuge.
What haste forbids, is rarely gained by stealth;
barrier lies prevails on persistence
But you are to be taken back the same way
Joining oceans wide and deep,
you source still is / your mark sureling
route carved into them valleys dear.
Live soft, even if you are strong as a stream the way rivers do.
carving the world as you proceed.
For such is the life; for it must be as water
a journey flowing eternally.
