Introversion is often misunderstood, wrapped in a blanket of stereotypes and misconceptions that do little justice to its true essence. At its core, introversion is not about shyness, social anxiety, or a disdain for social interaction. Instead, introversion is a personality trait characterized by a preference for quiet, minimally stimulating environments, where introspection, deep thinking, and meaningful conversations thrive. The first step in understanding introversion is to break free from the binary thinking that pits introversion against extroversion as opposing forces. Rather than being opposites, introversion and extroversion exist on a spectrum, with most individuals exhibiting a combination of both traits to varying degrees.
