Why Narcissists Abuse Power When They Have It

In place of my customary discourse on topics such as righteousness, graciousness, obedience, conscience, love, doing the right thing, truth, and so on, I will now refrain from continuing.

The fact that the answer is straightforward makes it a litmus test.

As soon as they are in a position of authority, what actions would a narcissist take?

That is the cornerstone of everything.

Materials that are Additional:

They claim that power corrupts, and that total authority corrupts an individual completely.

I do not agree.

There are certain people who are more vulnerable to cheating than others.

It is unjust (and lazy) to paint everyone the same color, as if we are all personally waiting to shatter our own restraints and run to mimic the narcissist in their revelry. This is because you are painting everyone the same color. As if each one of us, on our own, were all that is required to suddenly discover some ability in order to convert into a complete and utter monster.

In a similar vein, it is equally unfair (and overly simplistic) to attribute narcissism to traumatic childhoods. This is because it implies that we are all equally capable of becoming narcissists, and that our fate is determined by the dice that we are thrown during our childhood. Is it really the case that everyone is that weak-willed…
