Why Narcissists Always Seek New Thrills and Supply

Yes, they do get bored of their victims, because they are bored with themselves. When most of us are bored, we normally find ways to entertain ourselves, but this is not the same for someone who has NPD narcissistic personality disorder. They will find someone or something to entertain their boredom, and this is why they have numerous narcissistic supply, or why they constantly seek to have or get more than they really need. They live for constant admiration, validation, gratification, and attention. Their boredom is associated with the lack of any type of healthy stability especially when it comes to relationships.

When they become bored with their current situation or relationship, they tend to seek out new ways to feel better. Narcissists do not only get bored easily with new things, but also new people. They are always seeking new ways to feel special, important, and validated. They need a flow of constant attention, admiration, and attention. They also turn to other things to satisfy their boredom such as drugs, alcohol, gambling, unsafe sexual encounters, overspending, signing up with multiple dating sites, or anything unhealthy under the moon and sun. Leaving their victims to feel as if they’re never enough, which is contrary to the truth.
